VINTAGE POINT  LAUNCHES WEBSITE OPTIMIZED FOR SMARTPHONES

Site Offers Videos, Descriptions and Retail Availablity for Popular Wine Brands

June 20, 2013 – Sonoma, CA— In keeping with its reputation for staying ahead of trends and in step with Millennial wine drinkers, Vintage Point today announces the launch of a new website optimized for smartphone access. The new Vintage Point mobile site hosts videos, wine information, local retail availability and more for its portfolio of popular brands, including Educated Guess, Layer Cake, Garnet, SIP Moscato, Melée, if you see kay and Makara.

“Half of internet searches come from smartphones and Millennials are driving that trend,” said David Biggar, President of Vintage Point. “These consumers are a target for our growth brands; we know they want instant access to current information wherever they are, from the palm of their hand, and our new site gives them this freedom.”

Accessing the new site is simple: Users who type “Vintage Point” into an internet search engine or plug in the Vintage Point web address, www.vintagepoint.com, from a smartphone will automatically be directed to the new Vintage Point mobile website. Vintage Point’s main website remains available for visitors using tablets, laptops and desktop computers.

Once they’ve accessed Vintage Point’s mobile website, users can view content ranging from wine descriptions to short videos about the various wines and wineries. The mobile website also features a “find wine” function that connects with Grappos.com allowing users to enter a zip code and see where to buy a desired wine nearby.

San Francisco-based KAI2 Communications built the mobile site for Vintage Point. KAI2 is a mobile/digital agency that creates unique experiences on all screens (smartphone, tablet and desktop) for high engagement and conversion across a range of companies within and outside of the wine industry. According to the firm, the Vintage Point site was designed “to give wine drinkers an easy way to explore a variety of great wines and find them in their area from a device that is always with them.”
