Meet the Partners

Not long ago David Biggar and Tom Peterson—two wine-industry professionals with a passion for wine—got together and decided that there had to be a more efficient way for small independent wineries to connect with people who love finding and purchasing luxury wines. Together, they created Vintage Point.

David Biggar is a 20-year veteran of the premium wine business with vast experience in sales and marketing for domestic and imported wines. David was Vice President, National Sales Manager for Beringer Blass Luxury Wine Division from 2000-2003, after being hired as a key account manager back in 1986 in New York. Most recently Biggar was VP, GM, Marketing – California Brands for Foster’s, working with such brands as Etude, Stags’ Leap, Chateau St. Jean, Chateau Souverain, St. Clement, Taz and Beringer Reserves including launching TwoTone Farm and Sbragia Family Vineyards.

Tom Peterson is a well-known wine business leader and winemaker with over 25 years experience in wine production and winery management. With international experience in the wine and cooperage industries in the U.S., Europe, South Africa, Chile, New Zealand and Australia, Peterson held the position of Sr. Vice President, General Manager for Beringer Blass’ Luxury Wine Division, followed by a position as Sr. Vice President, Chief Production Officer. With a graduate degree in viticulture and enology from U.C. Davis, Peterson began his career at Beringer as Chateau Souverain’s Winemaker and Director of Operations.
