Chardonnay, yet with Elegant Style from
Quality California Coastal Vineyards
We pick individual Chardonnay vineyard blocks with the perfect balance between ripeness, sweetness, acidity and flavor. Fermented and aged separately, each lot goes through an almost-complete malo-lactic fermentation to impart richness while retaining an important portion of the wine’s natural acidity. The lots are then oak-aged in a combination of medium and medium-plus French oak.
Our Chardonnay has a light golden hue and shows fresh and captivating fruit aromas of dulce de leche, honeysuckle, and ripe apple paired with a subtle vanilla that shows the nuanced oak treatment. The palate is rich and generous, layered with classic Chardonnay characteristics of Bosc pear, apple tart, ripe peach and vanilla shortbread from subtle oak aging. The delicious creaminess and weight in the mouth are kept fresh by the natural acidity of cool-climate coastal vineyards, including Santa Lucia Highlands fruit resulting in a wine with exquisite balance and a satisfying, long finish.
The Popcorn wine brand was developed by Chef and a pioneer of “Infusion Cuisine”, Chef, R.C. Mills. The consulting winemakers are veterans Richard Bruno and Alison Crowe.
