Lo Nuevo (“The New”) refers to modern style wines made from ancient vines. These are wines that reflect the cultural life of modern Spain, its art and architecture, film and theater, fashion, music and a vibrant social scene that’s built around wine and food and nightlife. Wines that express passionate personal vision and courageous creative freedom. Wines crafted in a style that reflects the modern renaissance in Spain’s wine industry; its about freedom of expression, new styles and methods of production...and discovery!
Lo Nuevo wines are produced from low yielding, old vine, estate grown vineyards. Grapes from these old vines produce rich, concentrated, fruit forward flavors with wonderful varietal expression. We then implement innovative, New World winemaking philosophy and meticulous, modern technique facilities in each region to craft these wines. The Lo Nuevo wines are not co-op produced bulk wine, by any means.

Historically, Spanish design has embraced all that is bold and adventurous with a willingness to experiment that is embodied in the haute couture of Balenciaga, the Guggenheim at Bilbao, the films of Pedro Almodovar, and the paintings of Velazquez. Inspired by this aesthetic, our Lo Nuevo wine labels are bold and vibrant, reflecting the characteristics of the wine within the bottle. These rich label images wrap the bottle in sensuous color, while the innovative capsule designs mirror and complete the package capturing subtle elements from the label art.
